TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES CAMPUS,
AREA – 54 ACRES The largest development to date in the special economic zone of Mihan, outside Nagpur, India, the TCS facility is a state-of-the-art 54-acre IT campus. The first phase – four IT-related buildings plus a customer care center, terminus building, food court, and a variety of sports and recreational fields – sets a futuristic yet richly verdant tone. A created a modernist architectural motif into the landscape, reflecting visual parity through a bold geometric patterning of pathways contrasted with curvilinear plantings of trees, shrubs, and groundcovers. This dynamic design offers TCS employees a variety of experiences as they move throughout the campus. Enhancing and reflecting our design for the main campus site, a vibrant sports and retail complex was created incorporating shaded café terraces, overlooks, a cricket field, basketball courts and tennis courts. In keeping with the site’s contemporary essence, a variety of sustainable strategies were integrated to manage storm water throughout the campus: permeable paving, rain gardens, green roof development, and the careful selection of native and adapted plant species were all leveraged to help reduce runoff and water consumption. These design elements support and enhance the local habitat while providing much needed shade throughout the year. The resulting design is a holistic system that accurately and effectively reflects the bold modernist vision of the TCS campus

DLF- Atria,
DLF Atria, Gurgaon The simple yet dynamic profile of DLF Atria makes for a powerful architectural gesture. It is situated on the National Highway in the DLF Cyber City, along with DLF Gateway and DLF Square. The unconventional lines of this fundamentally horizontal building were arrived at by the simple expedient of following the shape of the plot - a largely irregular site of 1.95 acres. The initial architectural inclination was towards a highrise structure. But eventually, as the facility demanded larger floor plates, the designers zeroed in on a 6-storey structure. The central design idea always envisaged creating a building with a forceful disposition in tune with its architecturally strong surrounds. The design essentially consists of two parts: a basic rectilinear body with glass curtain-walling that houses the office space fronted by a clear glass atrium running the full height of the building from which the structure derives its name. A cantilevered pointed pergola supported by a tapering column further enhances the drama of this 6-storey high atrium. The pergola, which is integrated with the roof, has an upward gradient and gives a sense of movement to the building. The service areas have been confined to the rear, with the lift core located in the opposite extreme corner, allowing uninterrupted office space along the central sections of the building. The offices overlook green belt zones on its two sides. The treatment of the form and the materials used are in line with the international architectural argot of the other DLF projects in Gurgaon. Further, the fundamental character of the materials in Atria is rather distinct compared to the other developments on the road, which enhances the standalone quality of each development.
